Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) Act(Kerala)

The Kerala Labour Welfare Fund Rules is an Act that provides for the constitution of a fund to promote the welfare of labor and for certain other matters connected therewith in the State of Kerala. Preamble: WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the constitution of a fund to promote the welfare of labor and for certain other matters connected therewith in the State of Kerala; BE it enacted in the Twenty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title, extent and commencement - (1) This Act may be called the Kerala Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1975. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different areas of the State.

RULES:

Any Establishment/Employer employing one or more persons

All employees under the purview of the Kerala Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1975, and for shops and establishments under the purview of The Kerala Shops and Commercial Establishments Workers Welfare Fund Act, 2006, the employee and employer must each contribute ₹50 every month by the 30th, with the due date being the 5th of each month.
