An Act to provide for the constitution of a fund for financing activities to promote the welfare of labor in the State of Maharashtra, for conducting such activities, and for certain other purposes. It is hereby enacted as follows: (i) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Act. (ii) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. (iii) It shall come into force in such areas and on such dates as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires: (i) "Board" means the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board constituted under Section 4; (1A) "Contribution" means the sum of money payable to the Board in accordance with the provisions of Section 6BB.

RULES:

Any Establishment/Employer employing 20 or more persons

All employees, except those working in part-time positions, apprentices, and managerial positions.
